​編按：有一種情誼跨越國界，只因一場相同的戰役“Fight Against ALS/MND”，將我們的心拉近。比利時漸凍人協會(ALS Liga Belgium)主席2014年4月來台參加亞太運動神經元疾病大會期間，看到病友使用功能簡陋的輪椅，自主性與活動性受到很大的局限，回國後，積極串聯各界資源（包括海運服務），向台灣捐贈了一批功能良好的二手高科技電動輪椅。雖然經過協會的努力，但台灣在高科技輔具相關政策上的限制，最終這批輪椅沒有得到理想的使用與維護，然而，這次跨國捐贈與兩國漸凍人協會之間交流所建立起的深厚情誼令人感動。
